I lock the reaper in place with the stasis rifle, hop into the seamoth, arm and shoot a torpedo, exit the seamoth and lock him back up with the stasis rifle.

I can confirm that you can kill a full adult reaper with 12 torpedoes. Iin my umpteenth playthrough, I decided to play with Gasopod torpedoes! My typical death dealing apparatus is a stasis rifle and a thermoblade, but I decided to mix it up. I have made it somewhat of a hobby of mine to kill Leviathans (reapers + leviathans).
